Landlords in compliance with the Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct for leasing of retail premises in Singapore is launched and effective from 1 June 2021 onwards for all qualifying retail premises. The Code of Conduct sets out guidelines and governance framework which the following landlords have pledged to comply and have aligned their tenancy agreements to be in accordance with the Code of Conduct. While commitment in abiding with the Code of Conduct for Leasing of Retail Premises in Singapore is voluntary, these landlords are commendable for taking their initiatives and upholding the conduct and spirits of the Code of Conduct:

  • All Government landlords[1]
  • APM Property Management Pte Ltd
  • CapitaLand Group
  • City Developments Limited
  • Frasers Property Singapore
  • Keppel Land Limited
  • Mercatus Co-operative Limited

All landlords and tenants of qualifying retail premises are strongly encouraged to come on board in complying with the Code of Conduct for Leasing of Retail Premises in Singapore! Please note that a report along with the Code was submitted to Minister for Trade and Industry and Minister for Law on 26 March 2021 to recommend making compliance with the Code mandatory for all qualifying retail premises.
