Max Loh

Chairman

Mr Max Loh was EY’s Asean and Singapore Managing Partner for many years before his retirement in July 2022. A Chartered Accountant by training, he led and managed the professional services practices, providing strategic leadership on market, operations and people development.

With years of audit and business advisory experience, his clients span a broad range of industries including technology, food and beverage, construction, manufacturing, trading, hospitality, financial institutions and government concerns.

Max is currently the Chairman of the Competition & Consumer Commission of Singapore and a Board Member and Audit Committee Chair of Enterprise Singapore and Building & Construction Authority. He also serves on the boards/councils of SPH Media Holdings Ltd, CapitaLand Ascott Trust, ISCA Cares Ltd., CPA Australia (Singapore Division) and the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, BBM

Member

Mr Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, BBM, is the President of the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of M Kapital Holdings, Fin (S.E) Asia, Forward Energy Renewables, Forward Energy Resources and Vizzio Technologies. He is also a Board Member for Workstation (Co-Sharing Office), BDx Holdings and BDx Asia Data Centre, focusing on energy, digital technologies and consultancy having business across Southeast Asia, China, and the Middle East. Recently, he was appointed Global Investment Ambassador by the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

Mr Bakar is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Singapore Institute of Technology University (SIT), a Board Member of Singapore’s National Water Agency, Public Utilities Board (PUB), Singapore’s Public Transport Company (SMRT Corporation Ltd), Islamic Council of Singapore (MUIS) and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). He is also a Board Member of Malaysia Singapore Railway Transport Operations (RTSO) and Meranti Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority Singapore (EMA).

Mr Bakar was awarded Singapore’s Commendation Medal (Military) in 2002, the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in 2009, the Public Administration Medal Bronze (Military) in 2015 and the Public Service Star (Bintang Bakti Masyarakat) in 2022. He also received the Friends of Labor award from the National Trade Union Congress NTUC in 2022. Mr Bakar was appointed Justice of the Peace by the President of Singapore in 2023.

Benjamin Boh

Benjamin Boh is the Managing Director of McDonald’s Singapore. He first joined the McDonald’s system in 2013 as the Director of Strategy & Planning for the regional team, coordinating strategic plans and execution initiatives for Asia, Middle East and Australia. He relocated to Japan to lead business change by introducing new revenue streams for food delivery and modernizing the employee and customer experience in the McDonald’s restaurants. Ben moved back to Singapore to take on his next big challenge in 2019, starting as the Chief Operating Officer overseeing Operations, Human Resources and Real Estate Development, promoted to General Manager overseeing all departments in 2021 and took over the McDonald’s Singapore business as Managing Director from 2022

Prior to McDonald’s, Ben spent 6 years on insights, analytics and strategy roles in the FMCG space at Analytic Partners and Procter & Gamble.

Outside of McDonald’s, Ben serves as the President of Restaurant Association of Singapore, Member of Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) and Board Member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

Ernie Koh

Member

Mr Ernie Koh is currently the Executive Director (Marketing) of Koda Ltd (listed in Singapore Stock Exchange 2001) and the Chairman of Commune Lifestyle Pte Ltd (100% subsidiary of Koda Ltd). Mr Koh manages the Group’s Sales and Marketing functions and has significant experience in international marketing and corporate branding. He helms the Group’s marketing initiatives, particularly in customer relationship management, client base diversification, trade fair participation, new product launches and marketing talent recruitment.

Mr Koh has been with Koda for more than 25 years. During his tenure, he has rapidly expanded Koda’s market share, reaching out to more than 120 customers across more than 40 countries throughout the globe.

Mr Koh is also actively involved in the business and creative communities. Mr Koh served as President of the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (“SFIC”). He is currently Chairman of International Furniture Fair Singapore Pte Ltd and the SFIC Finance Advisory Committee. He is also Chairman of SFIC’s Local Enterprise and Association Development (“LEAD”) Programme for SFIC, a multi-agency program that partners industry associations to enhance industry and enterprise competitiveness. He was also appointed Co-Chairman of the Independent Experts Panel for the Furniture Industry by Enterprise Singapore.

Mr Koh holds a BSc. in Marketing from the University of Oregon (USA) and an MBA in International Marketing from the San Francisco State University (USA).

Ervin Yeo

Member

Ervin Yeo is the Group Chief Strategy Officer at CapitaLand Investment (CLI), responsible for developing and executing CLI’s strategies globally. He is concurrently CEO, Commercial Management, China and Southeast Asia, responsible for CLI’s commercial and asset management business across China and Southeast Asia, which includes integrated development, retail, office, business park and logistics.

Previously, Ervin was Southeast Asia Managing Director for the Ascott Limited, the Group’s lodging arm, driving operational performance and business growth of properties in these countries. He was concurrently in charge of Strategic Planning for Ascott.

Before joining CapitaLand in 2015, Ervin worked in the Singapore public sector. Across his career, Ervin has been based in Tianjin, Shanghai, New York and Washington, D.C.

Ervin holds a degree in Ethics, Politics & Economics from Yale University, USA.

Jeannie Lim

Ms Jeannie Lim is Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Singapore, overseeing the Lifestyle & Consumer cluster. Enterprise Singapore is the government agency championing enterprise development. The agency works with committed companies to build capabilities, innovate and internationalise. It also supports the growth of Singapore as a hub for global trading and startups, and builds trust in Singapore’s products and services through quality and standards.

From 2019 to 2023, Ms Lim was Assistant Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) Policy and Planning Group, spearheading policy and strategy matters including strategic planning, incentive policy, human capital and sustainability strategies for the tourism sector. She also led industry development and regulatory efforts for hotels, cruises, travel agents and tourist guides, as well as the management of key tourism assets such as the integrated resorts, cruise terminals and MICE venues.

Before that, Ms Lim led the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau in securing a strong pipeline of business events and ensuring Singapore’s position as a top international convention and meetings city. In 2017, she received the IMEX Academy Award (Asia Pacific) for her outstanding contribution to the meetings industry. Ms Lim was also previously Director of the Attractions and Tourism Concept Development divisions in STB, overseeing the master planning and development of key tourism zones and attractions.

Ms Lim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney and Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and Nanyang Technological University jointly. She also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Ms Lim was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2022.

Jesline Goh

Member

Ms Jesline Goh has more than 20 years of extensive experience in real estate across the entire value chain from fund management, investment, development, asset management to leasing and property management. She has held senior positions at Singapore’s major real estate development and investment companies, including CapitaLand Group, Perennial Real Estate Holding Limited and UOL Group Limited. Most recently, she was the Managing Director – Development at The Lo & Behold Group where she was instrumental in creating the first creative lifestyle cluster at the integrated development along Kim Yam Road Singapore. Ms Goh is currently the Managing Partner & CEO of Greenwillow Asset Management, which is part of Greenwillow Group’s private equity fund and asset management business that includes CMS-licensed fund management company, Greenwillow Capital Management Pte Ltd. She will be responsible for driving the group’s real estate private equity fund and asset management business.

Ms Goh graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration (First Class Honours) degree. She also completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, USA. Ms Goh is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Graham Ng

Member

Mr Graham Ng is currently a Director at Far East Organization, overseeing its retail portfolio as well as the group’s Japan portfolio.

He brings experience from his roles in Far East Capital and Tetra Pak, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies from the University of Chicago

Desmond Sim

Member

Mr Desmond Sim is the Chief Executive Officer of Edmund Tie & Company (Southeast Asia) Pte Ltd.

With more than 20 years’ experience in real estate, Mr Sim is backed with robust acumen and know-how across diverse property sectors – including commercial, residential, retail, industrial, hospitality and institutional real estate. His broad expertise in research and consulting, coupled with his wide-ranging experience across commercial, government and non-profit organisations, gives him an excellent overview of the industry.

In his earlier roles, Mr Sim served as the head of Research at a leading real estate MNC and played a pivotal role in various real estate initiatives. Before transitioning to real estate research, he was a licensed real estate appraiser and has experience in property tax consultancy. Mr Sim was also a key member of a team who incepted and completed various private equity real estate funds in China and India. He had also contributed to numerous research, feasibility and master planning

Mr Sim is also a well sought-after speaker for various forums and seminars organised by real estate developers, associations and financial institutions.

Kok Ping Soon

Mr Kok Ping Soon is Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the apex business chamber championing the interests of Singapore’s business community in trade, investment and industrial relations matters. SBF represents more than 30,000 companies, as well as key local and foreign business chambers.

Prior to his current appointment, Ping Soon was Chief Executive of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), the lead agency driving Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative and public sector digital transformation. He also held various positions in the Ministry of Manpower, National Security Co-ordination Secretariat, Ministry of Trade & Industry, Singapore Tourism Board, Contact Singapore (CS), and Economic Development Board (EDB). He spent six years in the United States working for CS and EDB.

He serves on the Board of SBF Holdings, SBF Connect, Singapore Business Federation Foundation, Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, Global Compact Network Singapore and Singapore Pools. He is also a member of Singapore International Arbitration Centre, Singapore International Mediation Centre, NUS Institute of Systems Sciences, National Institute of Education Council and a fellow member of Singapore Computer Society.

Terence Yow

Mr Terence Yow is the Managing Director of Enviably Me Group of Companies who is the Exclusive Distributor for a portfolio of international footwear brands including Melissa, Ipanema, Zaxy, Rider and Grendene Kids across Singapore, Malaysia and India markets.

He also serves as the Chairman of Singapore Tenants United For Fairness (SGTUFF), a MCCY-registered Co-operative and River Academy At Kallang, a MCCY-registered Charity catered towards the development of children to their fullest potential regardless of background.

Callie Yah

Ms Callie Yah joined CDL in September 2021 as Executive Vice President and Head of Global Asset Management, to drive continued growth in the Group’s global portfolio of office, retail, industrial and residential assets.

A real estate veteran with over 30 years of experience, Ms Yah has held various leadership roles in asset management and property operations, overseeing a diverse portfolio of assets across Asia, Australia, the UK and the US. Prior to joining CDL, Ms Yah was Chief Operating Officer at Hiap Hoe Limited, where she was responsible for the leasing and operations for the group’s global portfolio of commercial, hotel and residential properties.

Ms Yah holds a Bachelor of Science in Estate Management from the National University of Singapore.

Yeo Hiang Meng, BBM

Mr Yeo Hiang Meng, BBM, is the President of FMAS. Under his leadership, FMAS has embarked on different phases of transformational change to organise and reshape itself, to ensure that FMAS stays relevant to its members and the industry.

Since 2011, Mr Yeo has successfully repositioned FMAS into a knowledge-based organization to lead the neighbourhood business community. With its vision “To be the Champion for the Neighbourhood Business Community”, FMAS has created numerous interactive platforms for the retailers to meet, share experiences, exchange ideas and gained insight to distinctive business formulas of micro-business owners to face current challenges. All these outreach programmes also strive to uplift members’ productivity and competitiveness.

Tan Kee Yong

Mr Tan Kee Yong, is the Chief Operating Officer of Retail at Frasers Property Singapore, with over 30 years of extensive experience in the retail and real estate industry. In his current role, he oversees the operational management and profitability of a diverse portfolio comprising 12 malls in Singapore.

With a background that includes key positions at CapitaLand Limited, AsiaMalls Management, Far East Organization, and others, Mr Tan has demonstrated expertise in real estate development, asset planning, market repositioning, and business development opportunities, particularly in China and India. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Heriot Watt University (UK) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management from the National University of Singapore. Additionally, Mr Tan serves as a director of Singapore River One.

Foo Tuat Yien

Ms Foo Tuat Yien is a Senior Counsel (honoris causa). She is a former Judicial Commissioner, who had also served in the Family Justice Court and in the Civil Justice Division of the State Courts.

She has worked in the Registry of Land Titles and Deeds and in the Competition Commission of Singapore and served on tribunals and committees such as the Appeals Board (Land Acquisition), the Military Court of Appeal and the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) Law Reform Committee.

She is a Deputy-President, Tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents and a Senior Mediator, Singapore Mediation Centre.

Kurt Wee

Mr Kurt Wee is the Immediate Past President of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) & Council Member of Singapore Business Federation. He is founder & CEO of Celligenics Pte Ltd, a biotechnology company in the development of regenerative technologies.

Mr Wee also serves in a number of committees in various government ministries, charity and academic institutions.

Kwek Theng Swee, PBM

Mr. Kwek Theng Swee, PBM, serves on the Board of Directors of Heartland Enterprise Centre Singapore, with over 47 years of experience of strong business acumen and experiences, he has been helping and advising Heartland Merchants and Hawkers on how to transform their business and move along with the new norm.

To further assist these Heartland business owners, he has also organized Study Missions for these merchants and hawkers to understudy the business methodology, as well as ideas on how to enable heartland retail business to be more universal and target a wider group of audience.

He has created many business transformations, as well as new initiatives such as Heartland Tours and Explorer Series. His programmes brought forth more footfall to Singapore’s heartlands and improved the heartland businesses, especially during the Pandemic. They also served to induce interest from the younger generations to understand what our heartlands are and could offer.
